Who We Are

RCCG Restoration House Cambridge is a community of believers commissioned by God to lead others to achieve their God-given potential and empowering them to live purposeful lives.

What We Do

We are a church that strongly believes in the power of prayer and the supremacy of the Word. Lives have been transformed and people have seen the hands of God move strongly in their lives.

What We Desire

The more we trust God, the more intimately we come to know him. Our strong desire is to walk in His purpose and that our ministry would be an agent of transformation to every life in our community.

NEIGHBORLINESS – As God’s children, we owe a duty of care for both the spiritual and physical needs of all of humanity Pr 3:27; Lk 10:25-37; Rm 13:8

INTEGRITY – We believe that godliness is the bedrock for strong moral principles leading to upright character 1Tim 6:6; Jm 5:12

COURTESY – We encourage everyone to live a live that honors God and with humble disposition that renders honor as due to all Rm 13:7

EXCELLENCE – Understanding that God does everything well and He is honored and glad when we do well, we strive for the best in every endeavor Eccl 9:10

Our Beliefs

We believe in one God— Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Creator of all things.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the first begotten Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, was born of the Virgin Mary, was crucified and died, was buried and resurrected, ascended into heaven, is now seated at the right hand of God the Father, and is both true God and true man.

We believe the Bible in its entirety to be the inspired Word of God and the infallible rule of faith and conduct.

We believe in the resurrection of the dead, the eternal happiness of the saved, and the eternal punishment of the lost.

We believe in personal salvation of believers through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.

We believe in sanctification through the Word of God and by the Holy Spirit, and we believe in personal holiness, purity of heart and life.

We believe in divine healing through faith in the Name of Jesus Christ, and we believe that healing is included in the Redemption.

We believe in water baptism, in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit as distinct from the New Birth, in speaking with tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance (Acts 2:4), in the gifts of the Spirit, and in the evidence of the fruit of the Spirit. We believe that all of these are available to believers.

We believe in the Christian’s hope: the soon-coming, personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Our Roots

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) is one of the largest and fastest growing Pentecostal churches in the world. RCCG started in 1952 with just nine members but has today grown into a mega church with parishes spread across the five continents of the world.

The church was founded by Reverend Josiah Akindayomi in Lagos, Nigeria. The LORD established a covenant with Rev Akindayomi, synonymous to the Abrahamic covenant. The Lord said He would meet all the needs of the church in an awesome way if only members would serve Him faithfully and be obedient to His word.

It is upon this covenant that the Redeemed Christian Church of God was born and built. The Redeemed Christian Church of God was founded on the tripod of prayer, holiness and evangelism.

Rev Akindayomi went to be with the Lord in 1980 at the age of 71. The leadership of the church was assumed by Pastor Enoch Adeboye, who is still the current General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. Today he is widely acknowledged as a spiritual leader to not only millions within the RCCG, but in other parts of Christendom.
